The President of Uzbekistan is the chosen one of the people

Starting as a regular institute employee, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the nation's leader, embarked on a remarkable journey to the highest office. Along this trajectory, colleagues of varying ranks consistently regarded him with admiration, recognizing him as a proficient, adept leader and an innovative and honorable individual. His reputation grew not only among colleagues but also among the residents of the regions Mirziyoyev oversaw, as he demonstrated care and carried out benevolent actions that earned him their respect.

Birth, school and respected ancestors

Shavkat was born in 1957, July 24, Zaamin district, Jizzakh region in Uzbekistan. Father Miromon, grandfather and great-grandfather were from Tajik Yakhtan, where Uzbeks lived, and were respected people there. Great-grandfather Mir-Bobo and grandfather Mir-Zie were successful farmers (“Mir” - noble). Cousin Urenbek Yakubov, awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in the spring of 1945. The family moved to Zaamin when Miromon was 1 year old.

In Zaamin, my father worked as a TB doctor, and my mother was a nurse nearby. She died early, having become infected while treating patients. Shavkat had a brother and two sisters. Then the father married again, and another brother and sister were born. Shavkat graduated from a school where Russian was the language of instruction in Zaamin and entered a university.

Work and political activity

Upon completing his education at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Land Reclamation, he devoted himself to the institution from 1981 until 1992. Commencing as a regular employee, he gradually rose to the position of First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. During this period, he also achieved the status of a Ph.D. candidate and became a member of the CPSU. In a notable political accomplishment, he was elected as a People's Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the UzSSR in 1990, representing the Karasu district in Tashkent.

After the republic left the USSR, Shavkat actively changed positions:

• 1992-1996, the man was the head (khokim) in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.
• Member of Parliament since 1994.
• Since 1996, head of his native Jizzakh region.
• In 1999, he was re-elected to parliament, working there until 2004. Since 2001, Samarkand region has been under his leadership.
• Since December 2003, Mirziyoyev has been the country's prime minister and is gradually becoming a major political figure.

When President Islam Karimov died, Mirziyoyev was appointed acting by parliament in September 2016. president. On September 16, the LDPU nominated him as a presidential candidate.

In December 2016, Shavkat Mirziyoyev wins the elections. 88% of voters voted for him with a turnout of 87%. On December 14, after taking the oath, he is the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. October 2021 – Shavkat Mirziyoyev wins his second presidential election. 80% voted for him. Reforms earn authority and consolidate society.
