Starting as a regular institute employee, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the nation's leader, embarked on a remarkable journey to the highest office. Birth, school and respected ancestors

Work and political activity

Upon completing his education at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Land Reclamation, he devoted himself to the institution from 1981 until 1992. Commencing as a regular employee, he gradually rose to the position of First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. During this period, he also achieved the status of a Ph.D. candidate and became a member of the CPSU. In a notable political accomplishment, he was elected as a People's Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the UzSSR in 1990, representing the Karasu district in Tashkent.

After the republic left the USSR, Shavkat actively changed positions:

  • 1992-1996, the man was the head (khokim) in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.
  • Member of Parliament since 1994.
  • Since 1996, head of his native Jizzakh region.
  • In 1999, he was re-elected to parliament, working there until 2004. Since 2001, Samarkand region has been under his leadership.
  • Since December 2003, Mirziyoyev has been the country's prime minister and is gradually becoming a major political figure.
